Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Underwood mods to the PS Audio GCPH phono stage. I love my system (which also contains a Rega P5 with Exact cartridge), but I would also love to improve it. (I listen to records for 2-4 hours every single day.) The Underwood mods cost $700, which isn't an inconsequential amount of money for me. I have seen lots of used GCPH units on Audiogon, but few used modded GCPH units. I wonder if this is because the modded version is too good to let go of, or simply because not many people get the mods performed in the first place. Wondering if the modded GCPH retains its value effectively, which is hard to gauge without audiogon or ebay sales of the modded version. $700 is a lot of money to spend for something I can't hear first, unless I can sell it on audiogon, with minimal loss, if I don't think it was worth the expenditure.
Thanks,
Mike
