I've been on the hunt for a tonearm for a table I'm restoring, and it's starting to seem as though 75% of the worlds tonearms are Jelco made clones that are then seriously marked up in price.
Case in point is the spectacularly reviewed Ortofon TA-110 that without question is a Jelco SA-250 underneath. Even the tonearm on the expensive Luxman deck is a Jelco SA-250. The Audioquest arms were Jelcos, Koetsu arms are Jelco...I'm becoming Jelco paranoid!!!
Huh, think I'll buy a Jelco tonearm.
