Wow I've still got one of those but its in retirement. One of the original high performance subs from what I remember and it used line signal in from the preamp and then sent signal out to the main amp but I just used the ins without a problem. It does need a special cable to connect the inputs. The original part will be very difficult to source if you don't already have it and I did find a similar adapter somewhere way back when.

There is a 5 pin DIN connector under the controls up inside around where the driver is and the cable adapter then converts 4 leads 2(L+R)inputs and 2 outputs to RCA connectors. It wasn't too hard from there to figure out which were the ins and outs. With the unit on touch the ends of the RCA's and the 2 that cause the amp to hum are your inputs.
