Yes I know these are older speakers but I never liked the brighter
sounding B&W Nautilus and Diamonds.
I was in a shop and heard a used pair of Matrix 804 "Series 1" that were
traded in. They were playing classic rock music so well that bought them
on the spot. (They were playing using Naim components)
So my question is how the Matrix 804 series 1 sounds different to the
Matrix 803 series 1. I also would like to know how the "Series 2"
models of the 804 and 803 bettered/differed from the series 1.
If you have compared any 2 or more of these 4 models then please by
all means comment here on how the sound changed as you progressed
to the 803 series 1 and then to the series 804&803s.
In short hand, how does the sound differ moving from:
804 S1 -> 803 S1
804 S1 -> 804 S2
804 S1 -> 803 S2
PS: from reading older posts I get the sense that the "series 2"
models are brighter in the highs than the "series 1" models.
Thanks!
