RE: Marantz SA14S1 vs SA8005

The SA14s1 has a wider, deeper soundstage and better bass. It sounds just as good on CD/SACD as it sounds through its DAC USB-2 and Coaxial input. The SA8005 is pretty impressive on Red Book, but not as good through USB-2 DAC. There is of course better power supply in the SA14S1. I tested the transport and found it to read difficult CDs and runs quiet as well. As for the DAC if any one is interested, the SA14S1 uses BB1792 and not CS4398. See link below.
