RE: REVIEW: NAD M51 DAC Processors

Great review. I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk of his one around here. Massive threads about it at head-Fi and stereo.net.au with tweaks, firmware discussions even someone swapping out the power supply with a linear one.

Here are my suggestions.
*Upgrade to firmware 1.39 as this fixes a polarity inversion bug, but avoid firmware 1.41 as this sounds a little congested, why I don't know
*try it with a shielded power cord with the shield lifted at the wall plug end but tied at the component/iec end, this config sounds the best to me
*the HDMI input is reportedly the best input tho I haven't tried it. I have tried the various spdif inputs and the aes/EBU is the best, even via an impedance transformer from coax/BNC
