I was looking for a upgrade for my speaker cables. I had some older mit avt1 speaker cables I like the sound but looking for more air and depth and a more refined sound. I was amazed when I called mit and they told me the new matrix 12 replaced the avt 1 and is much better to a point it will out perform the old shotgun s3. I found it very intriguing so I did more research and I ordered a eight foot pair.. I very surprised when the cables arrived they were much thinner and much more flexible than my older cables and what was in that big box in the old cables through technology is now confined in a cvt coupler very cool. I called mit and they told me that they use a new dielectric and new technology so the cables are not as thick and bulky and easier to bend. Through technology what was in the big boxes are now in smaller boxes or cvt couplers at the end of the cables with much better performance.. I hooked up the cables and right from the beginning the cables had a nice sweet top end and tight bass, but what I really liked is how balanced my system sounded. I read the mit instructions for break in and noticed after about 30 hrs the sound started to sound dull and a little flat. I called mit and they told me that will happen and not to be alarmed. After about 50 to 60 hrs what I heard next was nothing more than a revelation. A open and wide sound stage a very natural mid-range and very nice tight bass. At first I thought the bass was light at first but actually it was very real sounding and articulate without the boom. Hands down it they are the best sounding and most natural cables I have ever heard...
