Magnepan MC1 vs MC2

Hey folks, I'm looking to add some surround speakers to my current setup:
Magnepan 1.7's L & R channels
Velodyne DD-12 Subwoofer

I'm likely going to go with the CC5 for the center channel.

I was wondering if anyone has compared the MC1's to the MC2's. Motorized mechanism aside, can anyone give any insight as to the performance of these speakers?
