Most Dems would say those are critical issues to resolve: how many Republicans Congress people do?
One or two Dems stand in the way of these--- you're going to argue the rest cynically are going along because there's little hope of meaningful movement on them? I hope that's not your position. Meanwhile, an entire party with ZERO crossing the aisle is arrayed on the other side.
Manchin and Sinema, in actuality, are not Dems... You appear to be trying to fit anything into your preconceived notion that the sky has fallen, it's Doomsday!
As far as China: no. It ain't the same. You want to move about? Get permission. You speak out about anything that opposes the party line, you're going to jail, ZERO representation and a possibility you'll disappear. We both know you're not serious about this. It sounds cool and edgy, but it's ultimately destructive, it destroys hope and faith in our system--- say, that's exactly what Oath Keepers do!
