RE: Southern Berry Cobbler...

Man, that looks tasty.

Mom used instant tapioca as a thickener in her cobblers. Baked in a deep, slope-sided cast iron pot with strips of pie crust dough draped over the top in the classic open lattice form.

I've tried it, with mixed results. I'm not much of a baker. Cornbread and biscuits, and a decent key lime pie, that's about it.
