The Hanky Panky




For two:
4oz London dry gin
4oz Italian sweet vermouth
1oz Fernet-Branca
Orange peel for garnish

Combine in shaker with ice, stir until cold, pour into coupe, martini, or Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with orange peel.

About a week ago I was planning for an Irish whisky cocktail and selected the Tipperary. I quickly discovered that one of its ingredients, Green Chartreuse, is almost impossible to find. Plan B was to to find a cocktail utilizing our open bottle of Fernet-Branca. The Hanky Panky is it!
