Oolong is often a "happy medium"




My dad likes to order jasmine (flower petals soaked in a green) tea, which you can just catch a glimpse of, in the photo above. Because dinner entrees are served with white rice, the slightly lighter-than-median jasmine is better there. But jasmine doesn't cut through dim sum, as effectively as darker teas.



Elderly people like to order darker and bitter teas, in order to help digest dim sum. So you can compromise, by getting the "happy medium," which is oolong tea.
