What's Going On with Prices???

I don't know what's happening, but the asking prices on vintage amplifies have skyrocketed. Many are now way beyond what any of this gear is worth, especially considering that most of it is unrestored and needs hundreds of dollars worth of parts and labor to refurbish. Sherwood 5000s on the 'Bay for $3,200 - $2,200 - $1,000). HK Citation II for $3,500. Dynaco ST-70 for $2,500 - $1,500 - $1,000 (and an empty cardboard box for $100)! Sansui 1000A for $1,700 - $1,500 - $1,000. Does this have anything to do with Covid supply chain disruptions? Aren't there still thousands of people out of work? WTH??
