No dispute on my end. I find the Consolette to be the better preamp. It may be because hi-fidelity mono requires abit more to do well.

I see he has a Citation II. I wonder how many of you have heard or compared one to a 4 or 5?

Lastly, I find the Citation 1 to be the best vintage preamp overall when properly restored and used with the right tubes.
