The GE looks good. I called my local radio station and they reduce power to 5KW at night, they also say they "beam the signal east and west" for the nightime output..where as the daytime is omni. (Don't ask me how they do that, just what they said) I live 20 miles north of the station and the person I spoke to said "no radio to his knowledge" would bring it in as I wish.
I think I will try the GE as it is a minimal investment. If it does not work out, perhaps the C-Crane next or just hunt down tubes for the old philco and keep using that thing.
The GE was something I knew not..exsisted, thanks.
