I have two of these T-100 tuners. It appears that they were produced with early automatic soldering machines - i.e.: "wave soldered".The solder joints are not very good on the circuit boards, many have air bubbles and appear to be of poor quality. So it makes sense to look them over and rejoin those which are questionable.
One of the black potted modules (Accuphase 520-5001-10)on an output (AMP) board had an intermittent connection inside. I had to remove the module and resolder the connections underneath to resolve this problem.
But overall, these are fantastic tuners, and there are very few machines that deliver the rich sound of the T-100.
