We're on a hill, have 6 ground rods #6 to them from antenna's etc., surge protectors, lightening arrestors... Had a close strike, took out all kinds of things.

Have a friend lives near Boston, storm was coming in, he was approaching window to close it, lightening struck pine tree next to house, came down into the ground, back up through the foundation of his house, through his foot, leg, testicle, blew him across the room. Concussion, burns, detached retina, concussion, long term cognitive problems. I asked him what he did to warrant getting struck by lightening? Sex with sister? Voted for a bad candidate... Luck of the draw I guess.
