5 milliFarads = 5000 microfarads.

Can you say overkill? For a preamp? But not enough information to simulate. I assume it's 600 VCT not 800V? Need transformer unloaded voltages, primary and secondary resistance, expected currents per branch.

A bleeder resistor is necessary - lethal energy will be stored for days otherwise.
