I am beginning the process of putting some of my LPs on CD and MP3 formats. I have a new $100 Audio Technica turn table connected to a new Onkyo AV receiver. I was experiencing a continuous static and occasional poping noise. I disconnected the TT and the noise remains on the output, so it seems as if the noise is generated by the AV receiver itself. Is this because I have a relatively low end receiver? Is there any way to eliminate this constant back ground noise?
