Years ago (10?) I read an article that measured created high frequency noise when you bypass dissimalar capacitors such as electrolytics and film. It convinced me enough that from then on, I never bypassed, at least dissimilar caps. That rule only in the power supply and I NEVER bypass caps in the direct audio path. Not only does it not make sense to me to split up then add together a music signal but in trying the so called multicaps on a couple of occasions, I was never happy with their sound. In power supplies, I do bypass 'lytics with 'lytics and film with film on occasion. If I do *lose* some highs in the music presentation, it's better than adding artificial that wasn't in the music to begin with. jim...
