The problem was a snapped PC board pin which was the common ground on the RCA output connectors. Secondary problem were also Nordost RCA cables that did not make good contact.
But those low plate voltages still make me puzzle. Seems like some designers like to operate small signal tubes at non-standard places on the I to V curves.
I would still like to know if these low plate voltages actually have a sonic benefit?
