HowdyFor those of you who don't read General that often:
"I'll be taking down the servers late Friday night or more like very early Saturday morning to move the primary site to a new server. You can expect the site to be offline until sometime Saturday afternoon and you can be assured that I'll be working as fast as possible, but building some new db tables and making final copies of everything to the new server will take 8 or 10 hours.
"I'll change the DNS as soon as I take the servers down, but that won't complete for a while, so we'll have some issues with people getting to the wrong server for a little while. To avoid some of this problem, I'll provide alias links to the new server; however, don't bookmark those links as they will go away at some point.
"Let's hope this goes smoothly and ol' Murphy doesn't cause us too much grief.
