Hi all,
I have get last weekend, for my DIY work, a mint condition fluke 83 digital tester and I'm wonder if some of you know how can I calibrate this wonderfull piece. Mine are from the 1996 or 97 according to its original papers. This unit was used just a couple of times, so are realy mint, as new, but I know that maybe need to be calibrated. I have called to the local FLUKE service but they have a very absurd cost for calibration work : $115 US dollars, more than this unit cost as a second hand unit.
I have download the service manual and refers to need to do some adjustment on a pair of variable resistors, but I don't understand how I have to do the reference value to adjust. I guess that is very easy but with some directions and for sure can avoid to burn that big money.
Thanks in advance,
Beto
