Modern burning technology- 5 Year old Cd player

Hi everyone,

I'm utterly and completely stumped, i don't know any audio whizzes around where i live, so i was hoping somebody here could offer me some advice! anything is appreciated.

I've installed a 5-6 Year old Head unit and CD stacker in my car. Basically the head unit is buggered so i run the music from the cd's in the stacker. now, I have a mixture of original Cd's, and i also made up some of my own from like 50 of the Cd's my parents have downstairs (phil collins, etc..)

Unfortunately when i try to play the Cd's that I made up using my computer, The cd stacker acts up. It will not play the first 4 or so tracks of any of my custom cd's. It will play after that, say from track 5 onwards, but just keeps searching and spinning before that.

Original Cd's work fine... so OBVIOUSLY its my burning software (sonic recordnow DX) that the player doesn't like... i was wondering if anyone can offer any advice on ANY different burning programs I can Use. ALSO i was wondering if older Cd players prefer different frequencies or file qualities, etc... Any insight is appriciated.

Regards,
Little
