Sorry to jump in
I have a similar problem:
I changed my EL34 amplifier from ultralinear to triode and now volume is too high at 9 oÂ´clock position. Do I need to replace the 100k pot with a lower or higher value?
I wouldnÂ´t like to add an in-line attenuator...
