Ok, that is still more than you are likely to get from a PSE by a few watts...might not matter that much.
I owned a VAC 30/30 and it was a very good sounding amp, especially for "normal" speakers. For horns though, I found a 20 watt sounds better. Now, that could be just that particular amp vs. another particular amp.
BTW. I don't necessarily think PP tube amp bass is better than SET bass. SET bass is worse if an inadequate (read cheap) output transformer is used but with good iron SET bass can be very good.
