You have accurately guessed what I'm listening to, in spite of my garbled post :^)
It's a custom Paramour-like amp with 6C5/6J5 driver and Stereomour/S.E.X. plate chokes and outputs. The iron, including the power transformer, are all designs I did for Bottlehead. Paul Birkeland built it for me, since I have a difficult time soldering these days. He really does beautiful work! Speakers are my kludged-up homebrew JBL 2220s and 2445s, at 101dB sensitivity so 2 watts is plenty.
Thanks for posting the Ongaku. It is indeed a 16K primary. I see that the data sheet calls for a 7600-ohm load at 1000v/75mA, making this an example of what TK described, a higher load impedance to get less distortion. Curiously, the data sheet says 14 watts output while this "Ongaku" claims 23-27 watts. Must be running A2 to get that.
