Hi again,If I want to include plenty of CD and record (and book) shelving in my constructed-from-scratch 2-channel listening room, is there any reason why shelves built into the wall would be any better or worse than freestanding ones? How would built-in shelves factor into my planning for room dimensions? (Would the width of the room effectively reach to the back of the shelves, rather than the front?)
In either case, would the first reflection points on the side walls be good or bad places for such shelves? Would it be better to put them on the side walls, but behind the listening chair?
I was also thinking about an in-wall equipment rack; what advantages or disadvantages would there be to that?
