Of course, air conditioning ducts are often lined with rigid fiberglass. I think common sense is key. If you have DIY panels made from fiberglass, don't bang on them with a broom stick. Adding a layer of heavy batting over the fiberglass and under the cloth is useful too, and that also helps to hide the yellow or pink so it doesn't "influence" the fabric's color.
