Y'all need to learn about the frequency domain, lad.

If it was someone else, I might try to explain, but I reckon from what I've read that you're too full of yourself to listen.

Fact: Dither (proper, of course!) does get completely rid of any signal-correlated error (i.e. distortion) due to quantization. It can not correct for sample and holds, op amps, bad convertors, and it doesn't claim to.

Fact: Dither raises the noise floor over the whole bandwidth, and in the same step LOWERS the biggest values of the noise floor quite a bit because it decorrelates the errors.

Them's the fact, jack. No need for this "least-significant-bit" nonsense. Y'all just don't understand what a noise floor is, I guess.
