RE: Butler Bass

He previously used custom Vigier basses, now he's with Lakland out of Chicago. They have a pretty liberal loaner policy, no endorsement deals, and I remember having a discussion with a dude from California who had a session planned at Sun Studios in Memphis. He wanted to arrange an endorsement deal with Lakland because he'd tried one and really liked it. He contacted them, they explained their policy to him, and offered to loan him a Lakland to use at Sun, in exchange for an in-depth review they could use in advertising and promoting. He got the instrument, used it on the session, happily, and submitted his positive review. The company got their bass back, he submitted his review, and described it as a good experience all the way around. I like it when things work out well!
