Any proaudio DACs for home use (ala Benchmark)?

Pro Audio Asylum

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

I've followed the press on the Benchmark and wondered if any of you had any similar recommendations for pro audio DACs that I could use in my home stereo (I'm also interested in messing around with a bit of recording later, but that's a secondary interest).

Hoping to stay under the Benchmark's $1000 price tag.
