Computer Audio Asylum

I had it too but opted for the Musiland 01 US Monitor (DAC)

I bought Musiland 01 on eBAY as a holdover but alas, it sounds very good to me. I do use the latest 2.0 beta drivers, which I like much better, and have had no problems whatsoever. The interface is asynch USB with 192kb/s support. The driver-Windows based Musiland Control Panel shows the locked in rate, processing mode, and provides chnage of various options on the fly. There's a native forum support (in chinese then use Google Chrome to translate on the fly) is pretty good. I have ASIO, DS, & KS working on my Win XP SP3 HP PC. I find the sound smooth and articulate after burning-in for 4-5 days while switching rates and bit-depths. Has brought me back to listening again (also have M-Audio Audiophile USB). I tried 4-5 USB cables, some short, some medium length, none expensive, and was not able to detect a difference (not yet ready to spend more on the cable than the DAC). Really a pretty remarkable buy including the update of drivers and support.
