Amazon Music

"We already subscribe to Amazon Prime, I think Music is part of the package."

Amazon Prime gives you access to about 2-million songs in what they call Amazon Prime Music. I have that as an Amazon Prime member and there's no additional monthly fee. But wait, there's more!

Amazon Music Unlimited gives you access to tens of millions of songs for an additional $7.99/mo for Prime Members or $79/year. For non-Prime members it's $9.99/mo. They also offer a family plan.

One nice feature of Amazon Prime Music that I enjoy is that any physical CD or LP that I have purchased from Amazon going back some 15+ years is also automatically available for streaming via Amazon Prime Music w/o paying any extra fees. So in addition to the (limited) 2-million song library, it also includes tracks from a couple hundred CDs & LPs that I bought from Amazon over the years.

Think of Amazon Music Unlimited as a super-set of Amazon Prime Music.

As an aside, even though they are both compressed and lossy, the music streams from Amazon sound better to me than Spotify. I've had Spotify in the past but dropped them since subscribing to Tidal..... but I still listen to Amazon Prime Music now and then.
