Slight stuttering with Spotify Premium playback

I have Spotify Premium service and I do not usually have any playback issues in my cars (from Android phone via bluetooth) or my desktop computer & tablet. But my laptop (Win 7 x64) is connected to my stereo via a USB DAC and from time to time I hear stuttering in the audio. It is irritating. It is random and hence varies from day to day. When the stutterring happens it is momentary and then it happens again after sometime. The sound quality is great. No noise, hum or anything heard. Is my laptop the culprit the problem or something in the audio chain.
Toshiba Satellite Laptop (circa 2011) --> Schiit Wyrd ---> AQ Dragondfly v1.2 ----> stereo.
BTW, the Wyrd is something I am trying out and the issue was there without it. My stereo plays fine with cdp, vinyl, etc.
