Thanks! Good info at the link you provided.

This seems to support my conclusion that it's not worth sending 'hi-res' via bluetooth.

I tried streaming hi-res and it 'worked' but I suspect there was some down conversion taking place or other method of accommodating the signal through bluetooth.

The main thing I noticed with the higher resolution files were more frequent dropouts and inability to stream over distance, compared to the smaller lower bit-rate files.
