"The unit needs to be on cones and not on the rubber feet."I agree that the sound quality can be improved. I noted the "tweaks" in my review. Also W4S broke the unit in for me. I also let it play for a few days before listening.
I did my listening using the Synergistic Research PowerCell conditioner (noted in the review).
I agree with your findings Fred. The only shortcoming I found was the soundstage in playing native DSD files was diminished compared to that with PCM files.
