Remote playing of library with XP?

Hi,

I have my music stored on a dedicated PC plugged outputted directly into my DAC. Right now I use Windows Remote Desktop to access it (more convenient than locally), but I'm wondering if there might be some software out there that would be better suited to the task of remotely playing my library?
