Sorry if my comments on your review were a little strong in their negativity. Like the others, I
really must say that you were sold a bill of goods by your electrician. Even if you somehow
plugged both amps into one single electrical outlet with a minimum 15-amp capability, your
socket should not have melted regardless of any failure mode the amplifiers could present.
That's why we have circuit breakers and/or fuses. And the explanation that you gave, that it was
due to biasing the amps in Class A whilst the switch was set to Class B operation (or something
like that), simply does not constitute an adequate explanation for why the current draw would
thereby go sky high. Obviously, your house circuit breaker or fuse box malfunctioned, but why
the current draw from the amps was then sufficient to melt the socket is a mystery to me, since
evidently the amps were not damaged after the event occurred. Possibly you had an occult
problem in your house wiring. It must have been spectacular, though.
