Re: You Guys.....You Guys.... stop IT !

OK . . . OK . . . . Everybody quit being SO nice to one another

Ken, (you know that I feel) you should just appologize (to all of happy AS owners), for not being nice and giving a weak (cloudy) representation of this truly remarkable gear . . . few observations you stated were accurate. My experience? I am blessed to own (yes live with everyday) much of the gear that you spoke of. I cannot believe you let the MP3 or Atma-Sphere combo manage to pass through your 'writers blocked?' fingers! ; ) Sadly, your loss.

Personal problems - Bad wiring (or bad writing?) another story - simply inexcusable for most of us - unbelievable for someone with a public voice. Doesn't really belong at this forum in this context. I am sorry . . .

I hate to admit, (but true)
I (unnecessarily) bugged Ralph about 'beefy wiring' matters before (happily) owning AS gear, coming form years of (yes owning) NYAL OTL3s and (presently using) Levinson 336 amp. He said "not to worry" - and low and behold, the AS Preamp and amps ARE far less critical to AC by comparison. Of course they benefit, but do not 'require' stiff AC like others I own. ML 336, when driving my Revel Studios, sounds like its clipping when driven 'hard' from standard 15 amp 'wall outlet' - NOT to surprising, consistently running (336 alone) on 60 amp service. Sounds fabulous - effortless with bass slam!

Incidentally, I do have discreet 30 amp feeds to each MA1 amp. Perhaps so should everyone . . .

Anyway we are W A Y off subject (of one) of our collective passions. Hopefully, you can get things fixed or worked out and join the rest of us soon. Sad that you missed out on a more complete sense of' or experience that the rest of us are accoustomed to in our homes.

I pledge you (or others) should come visit me, here one of my Atma-Sphere/Gilmore or ML/Revel rig (s) if you are ever in the midwest. And come clean with ASOG, you missed the boat BIG TIME man!

Happy Listening,

Mike
