I love my M60's.With ProAc Response ll's, (similar sens.and.imp) there was more than enough volume, and incredible bass (from a monitor no less). Try the M60's (maybe get them used as a starting point) and if they are not enough, than spring for the MA-1's. No zero's needed with the ProAc's.
The M60's with my efficient Coincident Total Victories gives thunderous body shaking pictures falling off the wall type volumes. I couldn't imagine anything else in my system. We no longer go to movies unless they are IMAX. You will not be disappointed.
Well, you might be disappointed. I did not like the bass with my Placcette Passive Pre., I now have the MP3, and the combination is great.
