M60 turned off (right toggle) but still playing

OTL, Output Transformerless Amplifier User Group.

I am new to my M60 so your patience is required.
I turned off the right toggle (red light) and left the left toggle (yellow light) on. The tubes are still glowing. I did this because I will be back in an hour and want to contunue listening.
That was 5 minutes ago. The tuner is still on. I can still hear a bit of the music, but it is crackly. If I turn the volume up (I know I know, then don't turn the volume up!!) the sound comes through in pops, loud pops.
Should I start checking things?.
Passive pre and RCA inputs. No shorting plugs used.
