My previous speakers were Klipsch Fortes which did very well with solid state, but with the M-60's they were horribly underdamped. I believe those speakers used 4-ohm woofers. The Fortes definitely improved with the Zeroes. I'll probably give the Zeroes a try with the Merlins, but I would still like to hear from others who may have been down this road before.William
