Question for A-S Amp owners (survey)

OTL, Output Transformerless Amplifier User Group.

Since purchasing an MA-2.2 - a no-brainer, everywhere I read, listened, spoke, it was unanimous that for what I seek in music (the usual things most of this forum seeks) the MA 2.2 was #1. Now that I'm looking for a preamp,- the MP-1 being the main candidate, I'm hearing hesitation, maybes, perhaps', and I'm not getting that intuitive, it's a no brainer feeling. Why is that? Just because the amps are so unusual and have hit the news and are so special, that they have dwarfed the preamps and hidden them from their place in the sun? I've found only one 1/4 page review in TAS Golden Ear award with the M60 -Or is it because there are preamps out there (Lamm 2, CTC, Aesthetix Callisto, maybe BAT, maybe VTL) that sound even better with Ralph's amps? I would really like to know how many Atma-sphere amps are mated with Atma-sphere preamps and how many arent? Any clues in that? Maybe not, but I am anxious to get opinions from AOG on their impressions/happiness/problems with the preamps, especially the MP-1, which is what I would get.
