Hi Lew, I know what you mean, ASOG is a very dynamic user group. I was up to 1.00.am. last night driving myself nuts with white noise. I swapped amps, moved the speakers around and tried different values of R and C to try to get the dip to raise. I was not very successful. Anyway, this morning I received a reply from Roger West. I had previously sent him a picture that showed the frequency response of the speakers with the latest values. He is now saying that the Toroid can be used down to 100Hz in some situations before saturation sets in !!!. I am going to give it another try this evening. I will also try putting some extra adsorbent materials behind the speakers.
I am assuming R=say 30 ohms C=say 48uF. O.K. ?
I will post again tomorrow and include some frequency response curves.
