I have been looking out for a tube tester on ebay for a little while now. Well my Hickok 752A tube tester arrived today and as you can imagine I could not wait to test my 12SX7GT tubes that I have had for a few weeks now. It seems to work fine but I am new to tube electronics and I would appreciate a little help. The roll data states that the Gm should be no less than 400 but what should I be expecting to read for a NOS tube. I realise that the two triodes should match as closely as possible. Am I correct in thinking that V1, V2 and V4 would benifit more from triode matching than V2 would.
Many thanks
Roy
