It is true that I specified the ZEROs for yet another configuration that I have not even tried myself. I guess they work so well using the GRAY / BROWN lead connected to the amplifiers that I have not even tried this other configuration. Thanks to Luis for "wanting more" and asking if the ZEROs could be used a bit differently.Well not only is it possible to use the YELLOW / BLUE leads as the input from the amplifier, the ZEROs were also specified and designed for this alternate configuration. Because of using less windings, the low frequency response rises from about 1Hz to about 2Hz, but the high frequency response will improve because of less inductance. This may explain Luis's observations. The DC resistance will drop from 0.3 ohms to about 0.2 ohm as well.
Here it is:
For a 2x impedance multiplication factor, connect the speaker to the WHITE / BLACK leads, and connect the amplifier to the YELLOW / BLUE leads.
For a 8x impedance multiplication factor, connect the speaker to the GREEN / BLACK leads, and the amplifier to the YELLOW / BLUE leads.
Enjoy, Paul Speltz
