It worked! Can now bias either1) by using an external meter across the speaker terminals as you suggested, or
2) by disconnecting the speaker wire at the speakers, binding the speaker wire ends together, and moving the positive wire to the bias post. Since I will shortly have no speaker wire (it will be preamp to ZEROS to speaker), the first method will come in very handy. If it is more accurate, so much the better.
Ralph, as I read the manual, there is no mention of disconnecting the speaker wires at the speaker and binding them together. This seems to have been have been the problem (I was leaving the speaker wires connected). Am I missing something, or is this not very clear?
By the way, the amps do not have the second 'fast bias' switch on front.
