It might be important for you to consider the size of your room, in conjunction with the efficiency of your speaker and resolve the question of how much power you need. Having owned an M60 and having listened to an MA-1 on several occassions I can tell you that heat from an OTL amp could be a substantial problem in a small room. In a room that is about 14 X 18, the heat from an MA-1 could be a bit uncomfortable. You could of course opt to run a smaller number of output tubes if that was the case. For a small room an MA2-Mk11.2 with its 22 output tubes per channel could be unbearable.
