hi lew,thanks very much for the insights into the differences in the 2 amps. i think that the atma-sphere is probably the amp for me but dollars on the MA2 would most likely delay the purchase for awhile. however, if the MA1 only essentially gives up power then i could do that sooner. your answer fills in some gaps of understanding in the issues involved.
btw, after looking thru the archieves i like the neighborhood you guys have here. if i go with the atma-sphere it is nice to know there is a place like ths to get some answers and share the enjoyment.
